Smart Education is recruiting a SEMH Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in West Bromwich.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEMH Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons to pupils within a specialist setting. The successful SEMH Teacher will support academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour while helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence.
Job Responsibilities of an SEMH Teacher
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support pupils with SEMH needs to access education successfully
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external professionals

Requirements for an SEMH Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A proactive, adaptable, and pupil-centred approach
Commitment to supporting young people to achieve their potential
